1983 HONDA MAGNA V65, IN VERY GOOD MECANICAL CONDITION &
MANY NEW PARTS – RIDE IT ANYWHERE
This was my first motorcycle & I made a mistake. It is too high for me & too powerfull also. My legs would need another 2 inches as I cannot reach the ground fully. I am apparently the 4th owner. I had it totally checked when I first bought it last year & a professional mecanic did a great job. The transmission works well with no slipping out of gear that I know of. The motor is in very good condition. It was replaced with a motor from a 1984 that had an accident with only 5000 miles on it, serial #SC12E-2112464 & everything works very well.
I installed a new battery, Oil & filter, Spark plugs, Gas pump, Ignitor, Alternator, Voltage regulator & rectifyer, Fork seals, Front Brakes plus some small items.
I admit that the cosmetics needs improvement and with some TLC this is a great bike & it has been gaining popularity for many reasons. It looks good even with a few minor scratches. This is an early muscle & very collectable.
The BAD : The sound of loose metal in muffler. The seat needs repairs & the side covers are 2 different colors.
HAS AN ADJUSTABLE BACK REST, a 'KG' slider. If you're not familiar with the KG backrests, the most practical aspect of them is that you can slide the cushion up so the driver can make use of it if he's not carrying a passenger. Included is the original tool kit and a Haynes manual.
