1972 Honda CL175 Scrambler |
For auction is my Honda Scrambler. I bought this bike 6 years ago when it was in near mint condition and had only 1500 miles on it. It had been sitting for some years, but a motorcycle mechanic of mine got it going for me quite easily. He changed the gas, put a new battery in, and that was really all it took. I rode it for a couple years, and it was a great little bike. I improperly stored it for the winter one year, and it suffered some rusting and a little plastic chrome corrosion(blinkers). I have not run the bike in 4 years, so right now it's not in running condition. It will need a battery, probably new spark plugs, a new electric starter if you wish(old one is pulled out and I still have it - bike has kick start). The gas and oil should be changed.......When I stopped running it 4 years ago it had no mechanical/electrical problems and was tip top - but at the present I can't guarentee what you'll encounter getting it up and running. This bike is in very very restorable condition, and has a book value over $2000 dollars in "excellent" condtion (N.A.D.A.). Includes origional owners manual. Only non-origional part is one of the mirrors. I've noticed parts for this model are very abundant on ebay.
